Our Facilities
You will be staying on a site dating back to 350AD set in 2000 acres of mixed farmland. A great location to go exploring and sight seeing in West Sussex and the South East of England
Our camping field is located within the grounds of the Villa. During opening hours guests will have access to our Villa Gift shop, Tearoom and Picnic Area with no admission necessary. During August we also have our 12 acre Sunflower Maze returning for 2023. Please go to our admission page for Villa and Maze entry prices.
Our site dates back to 350AD...we DO NOT have ANY electricity

Amazing views and some of the best walking and cycling in the South East of England.
One mile drive to Bignor Hill Car Park and the South Downs Way.
Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome.
Please remember we are a working farm.

Smoking on site
Having campfires (BBQ'S are allowed)
No generators
Tents only please no caravans, motorhomes or trailer tents - Please bring your own tent
Family friendly
No large groups please
Please be mindful of other campers at all times and respect the quiet time between 10pm & 8am
We have one standard toilets plus a one disability accessible toilet unit within the camping field.
We also have two shower shacks with running hot water for guests use.
These will be deep cleaned throughout the day .
How can you ensure the waste water doesn’t harm the environment?
We recommend eco-friendly shower products that have naturally low levels of phosphates and other chemicals that may affect the environment, so a ‘Shower Shack’ will really have no more environmental impact than a garden hose.
During opening hours guests also have access to the visitor toilets within the Roman Villa.
We do not have facilities for waste disposal for your own portable camping toilets.
Please recycle & dispose of your rubbish in the bins provided

Please bring your own washing up bowl as there are NO shared washing up facilities
The nearest railway station is 3.3 miles (5.4 km) south east of the village, at Amberley.

We are on bus route number 99 and stops at the main Villa entrance. This route is a pre-book only service with Compass Travel and runs from Chichester only. To arrange tickets please call direct on 01903 264776. This is a 'pay on bus' service and Compass Travel ask passengers to allow a 30 minute notice period of travel.

The Villa is signposted clearly using brown tourist destination signs on all surrounding roads.
